English with Kirsty – episode 65

What to do if people are unkind about your English

You can listen to episode 65 here:

Most of the time, native speakers are supportive when they discover that someone is learning their language. However, most language learners have had one or two less positive experiences where other people were rude, unkind or unhelpful, which can undermine the learner’s confidence.

In this episode, I talk about 4 situations and apply my three questions:

1. Was there any truth in what was said?
2. How am I going to respond?
3. What can I learn from this?
