11-week English mentoring programme for freelancers and business owners
This is your chance to move past all the reasons you find for not speaking English so that you can discover and express who you really are … in English!
How does it work?
You’ll have 11 one-to-one mentoring sessions with me in which we’ll explore your goals, your challenges, your strengths, and your dreams related to using English in your business or in day-to-day interactions.
I’m an English trainer and I can do all the things that an English teacher usually does, but this isn’t an English course in the usual sense. This course is more of a journey of discovery to feel more confident that your words in English are more in line with who you really are and what you want to share with others. It’s an 11 week guided programme for you if you’re a freelancer or business owner who wants to become a more authentic version of yourself when you communicate in English.
I’m not here to give you the answers, but I’ll help you to find them I’ll accompany you on this journey 😊
What will we do in the 11 sessions?
Here’s an overview of the topics for the sessions, but they are your sessions, so what happens will depend on you, what you need, what you want, and what comes up as we start to talk. There will be a lot of focus on speaking – both so that we can work through the learning content and so that you have plenty of opportunities to speak. I’ll give you a written summary after the session with our main discoveries, learning points, and things to think about moving forward so you can focus completely on being present and participating fully in the session.
This programme is an investment in both yourself and your business. It will be easier to grow the know, like, and trust factor when people can connect with the authentic version of yourself. It will also be easier for you to communicate the value you bring and how you can help others if you’re able to move past some of the doubts, hesitance or reluctance to speak English.

How does it work?
We will meet for 11 one-to-one sessions on Zoom. The sessions will be in English. If you get stuck and you speak German or Romanian, I can help you out, but the plan is to speak as much English as possible because this programme is about your relationship with English and how you can use it to express yourself.
These are 11 personalised sessions and where we go in them depends on you. This is, after all, your language journey.
People on this course are not looking for language lessons in the traditional sense. Many of them have studied English to a high level or they use it every day. Understanding isn’t the problem. Neither is ordering a coffee or completing day-to-day transactions. The challenge comes when they have to communicate on a deeper level, about things that are more important. Then it’s not enough to translate. They want to stop hunting around for the right words and they want to feel good or at least relaxed about using English as a bridge to communicate with others.
Usually they are not people who are just starting out in their career. They have knowledge to bring to the table and are experts in their field. But somehow there is a disconnect between the version of themselves that others see and the version that shows up when the conversation switches to English. The programme is not targeted at specific industries, but most participants so far have been translators or interpreters.
As people working in an additional language, we experience practical challenges – you can’t tell a story if you don’t have some of the key words. But there are also challenges that are more to do with us – how we feel about making mistakes, where we find our courage, how far out of our comfort zone we’re willing to venture! If we only focus on the language, we never address these other issues or the stories that we tell ourselves that could be holding us back from ever seeing the changes that we want to see.
That’s why this is a mentoring course, not a training course. You have a guide who can help you to navigate the obstacles, make suggestions, give advice, answer language questions – but ultimately it’s your journey!
Why the forest?
Thinking of my own learning experience, it reminded me a bit of a walk in the forest! I love being in the nature. The forest can be a beautiful place, but sometimes we can be afraid of the things that we might encounter there. Sometimes there are dangers, but often our fear of them becomes out of proportion and it’s much more in the forefront of our minds than it should be when we think objectively about how likely it is that the thing we want to avoid will actually happen. Identifying what we’re worried about, naming it, and being clear about how we will deal with it are good ways to reduce its power over us. This is why one of the sessions talks about the bear in the forest.
When we’re done with worrying about the bear, we can enjoy everything else that the forest has to offer. All those other experiences, encounters, and learning oppertunities that enrich our lives and help us to grow.
What’s the investment?
The financial investment is £479. The time investment is 11 hours for our sessions together plus the additional time you spend on implementing and exploring our ideas. The more you put in, the more you’ll get out of the experience!

Who am I
If you are thinking about trusting me to be your mentor, you need to know a bit more about me!
I have loved learning languages since I was around 10 years old. First German, then a couple of languages that didn’t make it into my current life (Hindi and Turkish), then Romanian and more recently European Portuguese.
I’ve always been excited by discovering how they work, how people express ideas, the thrill of understanding something. But at the same time, I’ve struggled with speaking. Not the pronunciation, but saying what I want to say in the other language. I love talking and I have a lot to say – so at the beginning of each language, this is a problem for me. The frustration is real!
But I also know that, if you stick with it, are patient with yourself, and if you have the right support – you can get there! I’m not afraid to speak German and Romanian now and I will get there with Portuguese. I want to help others to make this breakthrough as well so that they can relax, feel more comfortable, and really start to be themselves in English!
Since 2012, I’ve been working as an English teacher for multilingual professionals who want to improve their English. I work online with mainly European clients. More recently, I’ve been focusing more on work with business owners and freelancers, particularly within the language sector.
