Frequently asked questions
Do the dates and times change?
I run 7 to 8 events each month. Generally the days and times don’t change, but sometimes the schedule has to change if I’m on holiday or there’s a public holiday that affects a large number of the participantss.
Can I bring my friends or colleagues?
Sure – I’m always happy when people help me spread the word about the events and I love to meet new people. In terms of the free events, you can just pass along the LinkedIn link and they can get the details that way. The club and the cafe are organised via my website, so they’ll need to sign up on the relevant page to reserve their place.
Are your events only relevant to people who want to improve their English?
Some are. My language courses, the club, the cafe, and the one-off workshops have been created for people who use English as an additional language and who want to improve their language skills. However, the networking for language professionals and the language meet-up events are open to those working in the field of languages and who either want to network or to develop their language skills using any language combination. The language exchange does give you the chance to find language exchange friends if you find someone with the opposite pair, but it’s also about sharing tips, helping each other, and discussing what’s worked for us. We do the same at the networking meetings, but there, the focus is more on our businesses.
